Leading Together for a Better Future

A co-operative leadership model transforms a school of people to a school for people. Every single human being that learns and works in a co-operative leadership school becomes a stakeholder in its future and a member of a society of educators.

This transformational model for leading and evolving is based on mutuality of purpose and a shared understanding of the key values of co-operation, which is increasingly urgent in a world that has been created on the myth of success and achievement at any cost.

A co-operatively led school enables every stakeholder to benefit from its wealth of knowledge, skills and understanding so that it's community can thrive in an expectation of united strength.

Learning Cultures has harnessed expertise and research from around the globe to fashion a new approach to learning in schools and colleges. Undertaking this programme will have an impact on everyone in and around your organisation, allowing both children and adults to create an alternative future where they are part of something truly significant.

We believe in the power of togetherness and solidarity, where every member of our community is treated equitable and without prejudice. Democracy is at the heart of future thinking, enabling our learning communities to help each other and rely on their collective will and ability to shape solutions.

Co-operative leadership is a journey of discovery and we at Learning Cultures will be with you every step of the way.

The sessions will focus on:

  • The challenges in maintaining the status quo in an ever-changing educational landscape
  • Potential alternative to what is taking place already and the implications for and of change
  • An exploration of the five main elements of co-operative leadership and how leaders and then their staff can equip themselves intellectually and emotionally for the transformation
  • A thorough exposition of techniques and devises to facilitate the transformation of the organisation through the leadership structures and ideology and co-operative leadership key principles
  • A reflection on the impact on the transformation on young learners, staff and leaders and how to continue to build on the values of co-operation using highly effective coaching techniques

The move towards co-operative leadership is a major decision for organisational leaders. Co-operative Leadership is a philosophical move towards a set of values and principles that permeate everything and everyone. The value become a tool for decision making in both how a decision is made and the desired outcome of that decision.
