Below is a list of some of the bespoke training we have undertaken as part of our INSET offer so far this academic year:-
|St Ethelbert’s Primary School a lively school in Bolton||A whole school, full day INSET focusing on changing mindsets. The Power of Positivity and raising self-esteem.|
|Brunswick Primary School – Brighton, the second largest primary school in the country||A whole school INSET with nearly 100 staff focusing on the theory of Growth Mindset and how to embed it in all teaching in the pre-school, infant and primary phases.|
|Hall School Wimbledon – an all phase independent school||A full day INSET focusing on coaching towards outstanding teaching and learning training for teachers, leaders and managers from across the primary and secondary schools.|
|Tunmarsh School – a pupil referral unit in Newham||Working with SLT, teachers and Teaching Assistants within the unit to develop a range of coaching skills for a full day and two further twilight session.|
|The Hammond School – a leading provider of performing arts education in the North West||An opportunity to work with all the staff to focus on how coaching can support a more open observation and appraisal process.|
|Linwood Teaching Schools Alliance – A group of primary, secondary and special schools in Bournemouth||We have developed a CPD programme for senior and middle leaders, teachers, NQT mentors to ensure that the training is consistent, sustainable and cost effective.|
|Oakfield High School and College – a secondary school in Wigan||A whole school twilight session to introduce staff to the theory of Growth Mindset and how they can apply it to learning, formative assessment and progression.|
|Hazel Grove High School – A secondary school near Stockport||A bespoke tutorial session for A level students to challenge them to think about their own resilience and effort linked to the theory of Growth Mindset.|
|Lessness Primary School||A full day INSET with a team of six SLT members focusing on them developing a range of coaching skills to support the fostering of outstanding classroom practice.|
|Marjorie McClure School – a special school in Chislehurst||Saturday morning training for their team of coaching ambassadors from across the school. This builds on a long-term coaching programme we have developed for this exceptional schools.|
|Thomas Arnold School – a primary school in Essex||Developing a coaching programme for senior leaders and also providing some one-to-one coaching for members of the SLT. Part of an ongoing programme of coaching and CPD.|
|The King Fayed School – an independent IB school in Acton, London||Working with the senior leadership team to look at the quality and purpose of lesson observation and how learning coaching skills would support self-reflection and the sharing of good practice|
|Pontefract Academy Trust – A group of schools across North Yorkshire||We were a part of the Trust’s first INSET for all staff across all their schools. We provided two workshop opportunities looking at transition from Key Stage 2 to 3 and Growth Mindset theory.|
|Whitmore High School – a secondary school in Harrow||An opportunity to work with a group of managers to support them in developing a range of coaching skills that they could then use to cascade their learning to others across the school.|
|The Oaks Infant School – an infant school in Kent||A whole school focus on Growth Mindsets for all staff in both the infant and the sister junior school. The focus was on how to make pupils more resilient and independent.|
|Severn Vale High School – a secondary school in Gloucestershire||Working with the subject and pastoral leaders from across the school to develop a deeper understanding of coaching and how it can support high quality CPD and improve performance.|
|R.Y.A.N. Education Academy – an independent school for students who have been excluded||A twilight training session for the board of Governors to focus on their roles and responsibilities, reviewing how they hold the school to account and how they create the right vision to ensure progress.|
|St Georges Primary School – a primary school in Telford||Working one to one with the Head of English and Literacy to discuss the term mastery and its implications on planning the curriculum across all learning.|
|Woodhouse College – a sixth form college in Barnett, London||A half day INSET for staff to look at how to use coaching skills to develop resilient students studying for their A Levels, we used Growth Mindset theory and at formative assessment strategies.|
|North Shropshire Teaching Schools Alliance – Wem Group A group of schools in North Shropshire||This training brings together selected teachers from all the schools across the alliance to learn about how the theory of Growth Mindsets can support learning and achievement.|
|Surrey County Council – Bikeability scheme – teaching young people how to cycle safely||Working with 70 Bikeability instructors to focus on developing some feedback techniques and behaviour management tools to support them in developing the cycle skills of pupils in schools.|
"I just wanted to say thank you again for a wonderful day on Friday. We had CPD twilight tonight so I added a Coaching - Where Next? conversation, in the spirit of taking action after inset! Wow! We had a fantastic discussion for just under two hours. We're able to put together some achievable and quite exciting plans with strong buy ins from SEN, SIU (our Social Inclusion Unit), the Year 7 pastoral team, English, History - and DT is a work in progress! I feel this is a really positive springboard."
