Continuing Professional Development for Teachers
Practical and sustainable whole school solutions that deliver high quality teaching and learning.
Objectives

Once your organisation has translated the strategic vision into coherent, achievable and realistic objectives it needs to ensure that delivering them brings about the changes that will make a measurable difference to performance for all those involved in the learning process.

Our coaching model is at the heart of this. Our programme is for individuals who have drive and enthusiasm as well as excellent and inspirational teaching skills and highly developed organisational competences, who can develop into the role of ambassador for change. The training ensures those taking part become highly effective coaches. They will use the skills they learn to cascade innovative learning strategies to others within their organisation to help them towards improved classroom practice leading towards outstanding performance, reflection and a process of continuous improvement.

There are a number of steps in the process:

  • Develop a SMART set of objectives carved out of the strategic planning process
  • Identify who you want to train as a coach
  • Identify that there are sufficient resources to support the coaches as they develop the change process within their organisation
  • Coaches undertake the pre-event on-line briefing
  • Coaches takes part in the two day training programme
  • Coaches identify priorities and creates a plan to develop training opportunities to help practitioners, teachers and others within the organisation to reflect on their teaching and learning and plan how to improve and develop new and challenging techniques to use in their teaching
  • A series of impact measures are agreed with the coaches, their manager and the recipients of the training
  • Further coaching and training opportunities are agreed to support the evaluation process and the next strategic planning process
