Applied Learning

Applied Learning has become a more common term used in education in recent years. It refers to a more practical approach to education, in which pupils can learn by taking part in ‘real life’ activities or situations, for example by taking part in work related training courses. There are now more and more practical courses open to pupils studying at GSCE, AS and A Level standard and this has seen a rise in young people staying on in education and training.

As an applied qualification specialism requires proper teacher and lecturer training, many schools are turning to Learning Cultures for help and advice. We are able to provide professional teacher training that is geared towards this specialism, so that you will know how to get the best out of pupils studying for these qualifications.

Applied Learning courses include apprenticeships and NQVs are completed through ‘on-the-job’ training and regular assesment. For more information about teacher training for these courses and qualifications, take a look around the Learning Cultures website where you will find the dates of our training days.
