OFSTED 2012 and beyond

Preparing for the new OFSTED framework that will be used in schools from January 2012

We have outlined below how the training and development programmes and coaching models we have designed will support you in preparing for future OFSTED inspections. We believe however, that our approach builds on success and focuses on creating a dialogue that celebrates what really works well so that a culture of excellence and improvement is cascaded across the whole school leading to successful learning and teaching always.

OFSTED

Our Performance Management programme really supports the development of positive dialogue leading to improved practice and meaningful observation feedback

Discussing pupils’ work with them and their experience of teaching and learning over longer periods Taking account of the views of pupils, parents, carers and staff

Our Learner Voice programme will support really effective strategies for ensuring each and every learner can articulate how and what they are learning

Discussing teaching and learning with staff Taking account of the school’s own evaluations of the quality of teaching and learning and its impact on learning

Our range of coaching programmes are all about professional dialogue and reflective practice. They are powerful drivers for change and improving and sustaining high quality teaching and learning

Are looking for evidence over time and not simply the judgement of individual lessons
