Continuing Professional Development for Teachers
Practical and sustainable whole school solutions that deliver high quality teaching and learning.
What Makes an Outstanding Teacher

We have revised the content of this event to reflect the changes to the OFSTED framework that will come into effect from January 2012.

These one day events will provide an opportunity for teachers and managers to focus on what it is that makes a lesson and the teacher delivering it outstanding. There will be an opportunity to explore a variety of different pedagogies and how they can be used effectively to improve learning and achievement. There will also be an opportunity for those attending to develop coaching skills that they can use to support others within their own organisation or where they are working across a partnership or in a consortium. Becoming an outstanding teacher is about developing strategies to use in the classroom that focus on each individual learner, creating an environment that makes every learner feel special and inspired to want to learn and to reach their own potential. We provide a platform for those involved in the learning process to reflect on their teaching, explore new and innovative ideas and learn how to coach others to focus on their classroom practice, what they can celebrate and share and how they can create a truly inspirational learning journey for both teacher and learner.

Who should attend?

Classroom teachers, Training and Development managers and/or Curriculum, Quality and Innovation managers and other educational professionals who might be involved in the development of classroom practice and the quality of learning and teaching.
