Making the most of the three years that has traditionally been devoted to Key Stage 3 is critical to ensuring that learners are fully prepared for GCSE and other relevant qualifications at Key Stage 4. We draw on examples of good practice where the development of a learning environment that meets the needs of all learners is key and where a range of different curriculum models have been developed. We have designed this programme to provide managers with responsibility for designing a Key Stage 3 programme of study with an opportunity to review their current strategy, examine some of the innovative ways the curriculum is being taught around the country and help them to plan a model that will inspire and motivate all learners to achieve their full potential.
